This project will evaluate the optical and structural properties of sprayable and thin film coatings for use in spacecraft thermal designs. New flight and developmental coatings will be characterized in relevant space environments. Expect to work with reflectometers and structural tensile testing equipment in elevated and cryogenic vacuum environments. 

 The Supply Chain Quality intern will be responsible for assisting the supply chain quality team in meeting NASA GSFC Safety & Mission Directorate’s Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) objectives. This individual will have the opportunity to be a part of the daily Supply Chain Quality management activities, supplier research and analysis, including reporting, supplier data analytics, and supplier management. 

This project is a continuation of last year’s intern project of assessing anthropogenic aerosol impact on environment based on observations and model simulations in the COVID-19 pandemic period. 

This project explores the use of innovative and emerging applications of AI/ML (e.g., Natural Language Processing) to digitize and analyze heritage air traffic management (ATM) datasets.  Prefer background and/or interest in data science, statistical analysis, speech recognition, and software development. 

 In partnership with Chabot Space and Science Center, NASA Ames will offer a STEM learning experience unique to the specialized knowledge base and skills of the students involved in Chabot's Galaxy Explorers program, where they work at the Center and learn about the space sciences, taking classes and designing projects of their own. 

 The High School Internship Program is an 8 week summer program that provides High School juniors and seniors with valuable work experience at National Aeronautics Space Administration (NASA) Science and Mission Directorate, Administration Branch. 

 Bank of America Summer Jobs program is a partnership between SERJobs and Bank of America to provide summer work experience for young professionals (ages 16-24) residing in the Houston Area.
